Founder & Editor · WanderSavvy
I built WanderSavvy because I wanted a product site run by people who actually use the things they write about. That’s a low bar, but a surprising number of sites don’t clear it.
My background is in biomedical sciences and bioinformatics. I have a dual bachelor’s degree from HOWEST in Kortrijk and have worked in data, quality control, and web development. I’m Belgian, which means I have strong opinions about quality and a fairly low tolerance for vague claims.
I handle the Home & Garden content on WanderSavvy. Carol Whitfield covers Food, Culture, and Pets. Lily Whitfield covers Beauty and Personal Care. I set the editorial standards, manage the site, and write the founder and methodology content. Every article on this site goes through a review process before it’s published.
If a product is on WanderSavvy, it’s because one of us tested it. If that stops being true, I’ll stop publishing.

Editorial standards
A product makes the list if it has been used for at least 30 days in real conditions, has a substantial base of verified reviews, and survives a direct comparison against the other products in the same category. Near-misses are noted. Products with a single impressive feature and significant weaknesses elsewhere don’t make it.
Articles are reviewed before publication and updated when product lines change, pricing shifts significantly, or better alternatives appear. The “Last reviewed” date on every article reflects an actual review, not an automated timestamp.
We use affiliate links. That means we earn a commission if you buy through a link on this site. It does not affect which products we recommend or how we rank them. The commission structure is disclosed in every article.
